  • Sonic X repeats on CiTV episodes 1-10 only.

A few days ago I sent my third email to CiTV. The email was to make sure episodes 10-13 would be shown unedited on the repeat run, as they all had nearly 2 mins cut out on their first showing. Unfortunately the reply I got says they will only be repeating the first 10. Here is the reply:Dear Joseph
Glad you’re enjoying the repeats. Unfortunately we will only be playing the first 10 episodes in this repeat run due to schedule changes after the Easter holidays. We would have liked to play all 13 but it isn’t always possible when repeating a series.
    Best wishes

Although this was originally going to be the last email I would send to CiTV, I am now going to write one more which will be to point out that they unnecessarily edited 1 min out of last Thursdays repeat of “Get the Chaos Emerald”. I say unnecessary because of the following:
    1. CiTV took all of the edit out of the actual episode but left the opening titles untouched. If they had taken the edit they usually take out of the opening titles then that would have given back 22 seconds to the actual episode.
    2. Immediately after the episode, there was an advert for Sonic X. If this advert had not been shown, then about 10 seconds could have been given back to the episode.
    3. Before the episode started, the presenters wasted about 30 seconds. Instead of just saying “now its time for Sonic X”, they went on talk about what happens in the episode, and messed about a paper bird on a string (to represent Beacon – the robot in the episode). If this had not been done, they could easily have given back the remaining 28 seconds of the edit to the episode.

If any of you email CiTV to point this out to them it could help make next Thursdays repeat of “Amy on the Beach” unedited. The address is webmanager@citv.co.uk – remember to be polite. The more polite emails they get, the better the chance they will not edit the episode. You might want to point out that people watch CiTV to see the programs not the presenters.
