Beginning December 3rd and lasting until December 27th, McDonald’s will be including handheld gaming devices based on Sega franchises an Happy Meal toys. Back in 2003, the fast-food and video game giants teamed up for a similar promotion, but this year they’ve thrown in something different.
2,500 children may receive a silver handheld, and out of those, 25 will receive $2,500 to spend on video games and systems. The remaining winners will receive either a copy of Sonic Heroes or Sonic Mega Collection Plus.
The corporation hopes the promotion will be as large as the primary one was, which Jonni Hegenderfer, a spokeswoman for McDonald’s, decribes as “extremely popular”.
